The Original 1 Metre Challenge!

The 1 Metre Challenge is a really good way to make sure you get the most for your money when ordering clothing from Fox & Bobbin. When you order, you pick your choice of any of my available prints. For £70, you get 1m of your chosen print, plus any matching co-ordinates and notions needed, and the challenge is for me to get as many items out of that metre (in the sizes you specify) as is humanly possible. Any scraps that aren’t big enough to be made into clothing are then turned into other items such as reusable wipes and breast pads, and once I’m left with only tiny amounts of scrap, they’re used as stuffing in my reusable sponges, making them zero waste! I guarantee that you will receive £70 or more* worth of items in your 1m challenge, otherwise I will happily refund the difference or add in extra items to make it up. 1m challenge orders regularly go into the ~£90 price range, and I’ve even managed to get some into the triple figures!

Fancy upgrading EVEN FURTHER? There’s an add-on for that! You can use the capsule wardrobe add-on to add an EXTRA 1m of plain co-ordinating fabric (aside from that used in your 1m challenge), which will be turned into matching items. For example, if you get printed t shirts in your 1m challenge, you may get plain harems or skirt to match, and vice versa. This add-on costs £40 and will boost the value of your 1m challenge to the next level, and the usual guarantee applies – I guarantee that you will receive £40 or more* worth of items in your 1m challenge Add-On, otherwise I will happily refund the difference or add in extra items to make it up. Please note: due to the increased value of the items you recieve in the 1m Challenge (and Add-On), these items are exempt from rep codes. You CAN use Pre-Loved; Re-Loved service for items received in a 1 Metre Challenge, however I do ask that all items be sent back together as your code will be based off the £70 1 Metre Challenge price, rather than the individual items’ RRP.

PLEASE NOTE: This item is highly customisable and therefore I will need some correspondance with you to complete your order. At a minimum, I will need to know what size items you’d like. I will also need to know if you have any particular preference to co-ordinating colours, and if there are any particular items you’d like to be included or not included in your order. It’s far too complex to list all the variables right here, so if you check out with the 1m Challenge in your basket, you will recieve a follow-up email from katie@foxandbobbin.co.uk within 48 hours requesting these details! Each item of clothing is handmade to order in England. I use custom printed Cotton Lycra (95% cotton, 5% Lycra) for the main body. All waistbands and cuffs are made in co-ordinating high quality Cotton Lycra, in your choice of colour. Seams are sewn up using an overlocker, with a beautiful rainbow thread, so the inside of your items look almost as pretty as the outside! Each item is finished with a seam tag on the outside seam, and care and size labels inside.

The best way to ensure an accurate fit is to go by measurements, rather than shop bought sizing. If you find that you are between sizes and are unsure which to order, please send me an email to katie@foxandbobbin.co.uk to discuss. It’s likely that I will be able to advise on a certain size based on your measurements. Most Fox & Bobbin clothing is made in either stretchy fabric, or designed to be relaxed fit, so sizing issues are usually easy to solve. In cases where there may be a discrepancy of more than a couple of sizes, I am happy to custom draft patterns to fit, please just ask!**

PLEASE NOTE: the scale of the print is the same on every item of clothing, however, it may appear differently in the photos above, depending on the size of the item(s) you order.

Measuring for Baby/Childrens Clothing
Chest: Measure under the armpits, around the fullest part of the chest
Waist: Measure around the smallest part of the waist, usually close to the belly button
Hip: Measure around the fullest part of the hips, around the bottom. If your child usually wears a nappy (cloth or disposable), measure with the nappy on.

Laundering
Turn inside out and wash with your regular washing at up to 40 degrees (recommended 30). Wash with similar colours. To help longevity of clothing, air drying is recommended. If that’s not possible, tumble dry on a low heat. Iron on a low to medium heat if needed.

**Large pattern alterations/custom patterns may incur an extra charge, but I will do everything in my power to avoid this happening!
